Find out more about what we do.
In late 2007, RichContent founder Mark Effinger and Promote A Book founder Michael Drew joined forces to form Promote A Book Media. The partnership gives authors a proven one-click solution for optimizing and distributing content online, and the promotional strategies and techniques that have produced 47 national bestsellers.
It’s a cost-effective way to unlock content, ANY content, and get it to perform unlike any advertisement anywhere... forever.
Book industry veteran Michael Drew started Promote A Book in 2002 to help lesser-known authors maximize their book-selling potential. Since then, his pit-bull tenacity and effective promotional strategies have helped put 47 books on the New York Times, Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestseller lists.
In early 2006, Mark Effinger and Dave McInnis were working on a video platform as an extension to McInnis’ mega-successful press release syndicator, PRWeb. They wanted to create the same high-performance broadcast platform for video that PRWeb had already optimized for press releases. But then Dave went and sold the company for $28,000,000 before the video platform ever came to fruition.
But,
It got Mark thinking about creating a system that used bite-sized content: 30-second to 4-minute bits of video/audio and presentation to help market longer-form content (like breaking a training video out into 30 short media packages, branding these packages, and using them as mini infomercials to drive sales of the longer video). You see in reading 31 magazines and 100 newsletters each month, Mark had discovered that the only way to really get any value from that much content was to read "blurbs”, the short, most effective portions of stories.
So create the system he did. RichContent was born and with it a platform for broadcasting quality sound, video, image and text "blurbs" to 200 of the most visible web sites in universe. Simultaneously. With one click. The last 18 months have been spent refining the systems and processes necessary to make your content rock the web just the way you need to get the greatest results at the lowest cost.
And the best news is, it works.
